A Tribute to the Iconic No.1 Blower Inspired by the legendary Bentley No.1 Blower, the Continental GT Convertible Number 1 Edition is a celebration of motorsport heritage and craftsmanship. Limited to just 100 bespoke cars, this extraordinary edition was handcrafted in England during Bentley's centenary year, embodying the spirit of the golden era of racing. Its legacy traces back to 1932, when the original supercharged No.1 Blower set a thrilling lap record at the Brooklands racing circuit near London. A defining car of its time, the No.1 Bentley Blower was the result of Sir Henry 'Tim' Birkin's engineering expertise and the financial backing of horse racing enthusiast Dorothy Paget. When Bentley ceased its support, Paget recognized the car's potential and stepped in to continue its development. Birkin's innovative use of a supercharger increased air pressure to the engine, delivering a significant power boost-earning the car its iconic "Blower" nickname. Own a Unique Piece of Bentley History Following in the footsteps of the Mulsanne W.O. Edition and the Continental GT Number 9 Edition, the Number 1 Edition incorporates a truly special piece of Bentley's past. Housed within the Bentley Rotating Display is an authentic wheel spinner, inspired by those found on the original No.1 Blower. Each piece has been cast from a piston taken directly from the historic car during its restoration-offering owners a tangible connection to Bentley's racing heritage. Striking Exterior Design Finished in Dragon Red II with a Beluga folding hood, this Number 1 Edition boasts an unmistakable presence. It comes equipped with the Centenary Pack, Bentley Black Line Specification, and a Carbon Body Kit, all brought together by the distinctive painted Number 1 front grille. Luxurious Interior Craftsmanship Inside, the cabin exudes timeless elegance with a choice of Cricket Ball or Beluga main hide, paired with Heritage hide on the seats and door panels. Debossed 'B' insignias adorn the headrests and door inserts, while Grand Black wood veneer is elevated with exquisite 18-carat gold-plated organ stops. An Alcantara steering wheel and gear lever further enhance the sporting character. As you step inside, a bespoke Number 1 treadplate insert welcomes you into an environment of pure luxury. The centerpiece of the dashboard is a British Jaeger clock featuring a unique Number 1 dial, while the centre console showcases Engine Spin detailing-also known as 'Turned Aluminium'-a popular finish in 1920s and '30s racing cars and aircraft due to its anti-glare properties.
